COLOURFUL PHOTOVOLTAICS
For decades, architects have been waiting for solutions to customize the colour of solar elements. A combination of photovoltaic technology and glass know-how gives birth to colourful laminated glasses, which are producing electricity.
The use of special interlayers and new screen-printing techniques are giving a visual rendering to the non-longer-so called solar panel; it is a new active material. We manage to maintain a perfect match between electrical efficiency and design. They can commonly be called " colored solar panels" but they have technical characteristics which make them much more complex than that.
Our product meets the standards of construction. This is a laminated glass certified in EN12600 and EN12543 standards . He passes the strength tests and fire resistance. It is available in shapes and dimensions that allow it to adapt freely to the specific geometry of each building.
An alternative to wood, stone or any siding like ®ALUCOBOND or ®TRESPA... with high efficiency solar cells INSIDE.
Our technology is the subject of a collaboration with the Swiss Centre for Electronics and Microtechnology (CSEM ) in Neuchâtel and focuses on optimizing the printing processes and the long-term reliability aspects of the colored photovoltaic laminates.
Notably robust
The dip-coated Desing2Power® Color Effects Glass is far less susceptible to damp and wetness than traditional foil-based solutions and has proven to be extremely resistant to inclement weather and UV light. In addition, the coating is durable, scratch-resistant and chemical-proof, ensuring unique and fascinating buildings remain that way for ever.
